HYUNDAI has given its popular Coup a new look for 2005, with styling changes inside and out.
The revised Coup features a redesigned front, including new headlamps, front air intake, front bumper and fog lamps, new side vents, new rear light clusters and door mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels on the two-litre SE and 17-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels on the flagship 2.7 V6.
Inside, changes include new lighter headlining, an improved overhead console and additional chrome interior touches.
The 1.6 S variant gains a leather-trimmed cloth interior.
According to Hyundai, the Coup (pictured) consistently outsells Toyota's Celica and Audi's TT, and the UK has become the biggest European market for the car, ahead of Spain and Italy.
Performance wise the 1.6 S Coup has a top speed of 115mph and covers the dash to 60mph in 11.7 seconds.
The two-litre SE has 141bhp, a top speed of 129mph and reaches 60mph in 9.1 seconds.
The range-topping 2.7 V6 boasts 165bhp, has a top speed of 137mph and hits the magic 60mph mark in 8.1 seconds.
Prices for the new Coup are: 1.6 S, £14,795; 2.0 SE manual, £16,795; 2.0 SE automatic, £17,795; 2.7 V6 manual, £18,795; 2.7 V6 automatic, £19,795.
As with the rest of the Hyundai range, the Coup is being sold with the firm's five-year, unlimited mileage, fully-transferable warranty as standard.
And, until the end of March, the 1.6 S is being offered with free insurance for up to three named drivers aged 25 to 65 (excluding Northern Ireland).
