THERE'S a distinct classical feel to The Anvil in Basingstoke this weekend as some of music's most celebrated classical musicians descend upon the theatre for two very special evenings of music.
On Friday the prestigious Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, pictured right, headline the annual New Year Viennese Gala with support from Ireland's award-winning soprano Ailish Tynan.
Under the guidance of conductor Gunther Bauer-Schenk, the orchestra will perform an array of classical pieces in honour of the musical masterpieces of the Strauss family and other composers from the Viennese golden age.
On Sunday two of Britain's most popular classical musicians, Lloyd-Webber, pictured left, Evelyn Glennie join forces in an unmissable concert. But be quick because there are just a few tickets left remaining for this rare musical treat.
The gifted duo will be joined by conductor Bradley Creswick - one of classical music's most celebrated orchestra leaders. They will perform music by Vivaldi, Haydn and Bach, as well as a new piece by Adiemus composer Karl Jenkins, based on the famous Spanish tune La Folia.
Conducted by Bradley Creswick, the duo promise to create irresistible musical drama in Basingstoke this weekend.
Tickets for both concerts start from £13.50. Box office on 01256 844244.
