CAMPAIGNERS battling to prevent six giant wind turbines being built at an Isle of Wight beauty spot say they are "frustrated" that a planning application still has not been submitted by developers.
The controversial scheme will see six wind turbines built at Wellow in the West Wight if it is given the go- ahead by Island planning chiefs.
ThWART (The Wight Against Rural Turbines) campaign manager Ray Tucker said: "This has brought ongoing uncertainty and frustration over the future of the site at Wellow which is bad for the Isle of Wight, whose tourist industry will be adversely affected if the scheme goes ahead, and certainly bad for local residents whose lives continue to be blighted by the delays."
