PLUCK, the world's most musically-challenged string trio, is coming to The Corn Exchange in Newbury.
The witty and inventive group, who are playing on Saturday, January 22, at 7.45pm, compete, ridicule, argue and seduce their way through Bach to The Beatles.
Sian Kadifichi (cello), Jon Regan (viola) and Adrian Garratt (violin) are all classically-trained musicians who have combined their classical music skills with comedy, cabaret and theatre to bring you this performance.
Sian studied cello and jazz singing at the Guildhall in London. She has played at The Royal Albert Hall and sung at Ronnie Scott's.
Jon studied at Exeter University and Trinity College in London. He plays and conducts with the Dorking Philharmonia and has served asparagus to Angus Deayton at The Brit Awards.
Adrian started his musical career busking in 1996. He has worked with Yehudi Menuhin (UK), Vladimir Ashkenazy (South Africa), Rainer Hersch (Soho) and entertained crowds on three continents with his street-performing routines.
Since starting in 2002, Pluck have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on three occasions, winning the prestigious Tap Water Award in 2003.
With an aim to keep music live, the comic style of the performance is very important.
