TWO Hampshire youngsters were so touched by the plight of victims of the tsunami that they decided to tie themselves together to raise money to boost the relief effort.
Sam Bennett and Jonny Walker, both 10, did 15 laps of Priory Park in Bishop's Waltham in an hour-long sponsored three-legged race.
The Ridgemede Junior School pupils raised £300 by knocking the doors of neighbours in four streets close to their home in Cherry Gardens and asking for sponsorship. Sam's mum Jennifer Bennett said: "I think children have felt it very keenly and want to do something to help."
Dad Andrew added: "It was through their own initiative and they've done it all off of their own backs."
