THANKS to the efforts of a task force of volunteers from construction and support services company Rok, a dilapidated wall outside the headquarters of Wessex Cancer Care Trust is now good as new.
A team from the Rok Centre at Whiteley. including area director Iain Thayne and trust chairman Tim Titheridge, who runs Rok's development team in Southampton, Rokeagle, turned up to the property in their spare time.
They rolled up their sleeves and set about taking out hedges and removing the top layer of bricks so that contractors could carry out the main restoration.
A few days later, Tim returned to the site at Westwood Road, Southampton, to check that everything was in order and said everyone had done an excellent job.
He said: "It was great to see everyone mucking in to help the Trust which does so much to help others in their time of need."
