Sir.-The consultation by the Post Office over the closure of some local branches was a disgrace.
I wrote suggesting a compromise - limited opening times - and got an acknowledgement, which was merely a set of platitudes and made no reference to my suggestion.
My daughter wrote, making other points - and, again, got the same letter, with no reference made to her suggestions.
In other words, there was, again, no notice taken of any recommendations.
I still think part-time opening would be the answer.
