I HOPE you all enjoyed your Christmas festivities and you managed to have a look at the new cemetery.

If you did, you will understand how proud of this facility the town council is.

HAPPY New Year: To you all. Please, if you are going out tonight or any other night, don't drink and drive.

Think of others. You may feel okay, but a change of temperature or other factors may add to you not being fit to drive. It's better to start the New Year healthy and sound.

SAMARITANS: At this time of year, not everyone is a happy bunny as they say.

If you're one of them and life is getting you down, and you want to talk to someone about it, then the Samaritans are there 24/7, and are always happy to listen to you in complete confidence without being judgemental.

You can have a house full of people, be on your own, or normally be the life and soul of the party, but you can still feel the need to talk.

There is no stereotypical person that feels this way. Call them on 08457 909090.

IS THE Christmas tree coming down next week? If so, then take it along to Southdown Road open space car park for recycling.

It's collected, put through a shredder and used for mulch.
