Hampshire's Andy Jenkins produced one of the best performances on day four of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship when he crushed former world matchplay champion Peter Evison 4-0.
Evison had talked up his chances of reaching round four in the morning newspapers, but Jenkins produced the perfect response by winning 12 of the 13 legs.
Pompey thrower Jenkins now meets Kevin Painter, 4-2 victor over Wayne Jones, for a place in the last eight.
Phil Taylor began his defence of the title with a 4-0 hammering of Alex Roy, but third seed Peter Manley crashed out of the tournament to Dutch qualifier Josephus Schenk.
