HAVANT & Waterlooville assistant manager Shaun Gale looks set to ring the changes for their Conference South return against Bognor Regis Town at West Leigh Park tomorrow (3pm).
Gale has been standing in for manager Ian Baird, who returns for tomorrow's meeting after missing Boxing Day's 1-1 draw at Bognor, following a pre-planned Christmas break in New York.
"I'll be looking to change things a little bit tomorrow. As the home team, I will be looking at both the playing personnel and our tactics," said Gale who welcomes back midfielder Shaun Wilkinson from his loan spell at Weymouth. "We're at the wrong end of the table at the moment and we'll certainly be looking for the three points - our home games are very important and a couple of wins will push us right back up the table.
"I think that these Christmas and new year double-headers are a good idea. The two local derbies are good for both fans and players alike as they generate extra interest and extra income for the clubs," added Gale who has a full injury and suspension-free squad available to him.
BASINGSTOKE Town must shake off a Boxing Day hangover which saw them slip back into third place in the table following their surprise 1-0 home defeat when they meet lowly Maidenhead United again.
"It was very disappointing as we could have done with maximum points from our two games against them," reflected assistant boss Pete Peters. "Although we knew it would be tough as Maidenhead have just got a new manager and would be fired up. Tomorrow will be particularly tough though because their home pitch is awful."
