Week eight of the winter season of the Andover Pool Association, and with the sudden closure of the Railway Tavern cancelling the match between leaders Blaize 'N' Saddles and Tavern A, Swallow A regained top spot in the Premier after a hard fought 5-4 against Bishops Blaize.
A bad week for HCSC (Amport Branch) saw them lose 5-4 to Anton Arms A in a rearranged match then present Royal Oak A with their first win, 7-2. Southampton Arms B's drubbing of Foresters B by the same score puts the Foresters team bottom.
