A SPOOF of a much-loved literary classic might be too much for some theatregoers to handle when Very Little Women comes to the theatre Royal Winchester, in January.
Comedy duo Lipservice - Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding - have produced their own comical reinvention of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.
All the characters are played by the pair as they tell the story of the March sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, not forgetting the tousled haired boy next door Laurie.
One humorous scene of Beth coming back to life sees the old story being dramatically rewritten for the stage.
Lovers of comedy might be more suited to this play rather than lovers of Little Women.
