Southampton Boat Show bosses have announced the 2005 event will keep the 20 per cent increased size seen this year.
Delays on work at West Quay phase 3 means land north of West Quay Road, which is traditionally home to the show's Solent Hall, will again be available to exhibitors.
The layout, together with Berth 101 at the docks, was introduced this year, represented a 20 per cent increase in the size of the show and was originally intended to be a one-off.
Paul Streeter, managing director of show organisers National Boat Shows, said: "We have been told about this change to the development schedule in plenty of time. All existing Solent Hall exhibitors will be informed of the change immediately and will be able to base their plans for next year's show on the floor plan and exhibition layout of the 2004 site.
"We will however be expanding the marina and including a third bridge, providing access and egress to Solent Park."
Southampton Boat Show runs from September 16 to 25.
