CHRISTMAS Eve: Don't forget the crib service in the parish church today, at 5.30pm.

This is especially for the younger children, when the crib will be dressed and the kings will be seen in the distant south porch window.

CHRISTMAS Day: There is a service at 9.30am, in the Methodist Church, and at 10am, in the parish church, there will be a Eucharist with carols.

BOXING Day: Please note the parish service will be held in the Mission Church, Bramley Road, and there is no Methodist service.

KING Arthur: The Players are busily rehearsing for their panto, An Adventure in Camelot, which takes place on January 21, 22, 28 and 29, in the village hall.

Tickets are on sale now. Please order yours soon, as we all know how well supported our village panto is.

Tickets are £6, £4 for concessions, and are available by calling 0118 981 5600.

There are two matines on the Saturdays at 2.30pm.

HAPPY Christmas to all my readers, keep the news coming in. I am always glad to hear from you.

FINALLY: I am pleased to say that Tadley's new burial ground has virtually been completed and ready for use.

This is an added facility for the town.

Why not, after lunch tomorrow, have a walk up to the burial ground, view it and take a look at the wonderful scenery from there.

It may help you walk off your Christmas dinner and give you the chance to see some of what your council has spent your money on.
