CHURCHES at Christmas: We have a lot of services this weekend.
Those at St Mary's start, today, with the United Service at 11.30am, and is followed by the Blessing of the Crib at 4pm and, finally, Midnight Communion at 11.30pm.
Christmas Day starts with communion at 8am, followed at 10am by an All Age Communion at St Mary's.
The Chapel will have a Christmas Day service at 9.45am.
On Boxing Day, there is a 9.30am Communion at St Mary's.
On New Year's Eve, the Watchnight Service will be at 11.30pm in the Chapel.
CAROLS: What a wonderful turnout we had for the carols in the square on December 15.
Clearly lots of fun was had by all, and Carole Green tells me that the Friends of St Mary's are better off by about £1,500.
I think it would be very popular if this became an annual event, although it did take quite a lot of organising.
TIDGROVE: The Heritage Association has had a preview of the video produced for the participating schools.
The first cut was highly praised and a full version will be on sale shortly.
A MERRY Christmas to all.
