ANDOVER detectives are hunting a team of masked robbers who carried out a daring raid on a warehouse stealing about £150,000 worth of MP3 players and other electronic goods.

The raiders struck between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 16 December, at a West Portway Industrial Estate warehouse.

The raiders waited outside the warehouse before pouncing on a staff member and tying him up. They loaded their haul onto what police believe was a large commercial vehicle.

The unharmed but shocked member of staff was eventually able to wrestle his mobile phone from his pocket to alert the police.

Det Sgt Danny Fussell said: "We believe the raiders may have been in the vicinity beforehand and possibly conducted observations in the days leading up to the raid."

Detectives say at least two people were involved but it's likely to have been more. The goods stolen were defective and due to be returned to the manufacturer.
