Rising Sun and Sutton Scotney fought out a tough Saturday Division 1 match, which was eventually drawn 2-2.
Lee Shergold gave Sutton the lead, but Mark Feltham equalised soon afterwards. Neal Tabbitt picked himself up to slot away a penalty and put Sutton ahead for a second time, but an own-goal from a corner ensured the points were shared. Scott Walters was the Riser man-of-the-match, and referee Dave Williams was praised by both sides.
Harestock beat Sparsholt 3-2 in another close encounter. James Edgington's opener for Harestock was cancelled out by Jim Sherwood, but two goals by Mark Hermitage either side of a Sean Davies reply decided the issue.
Ropley fielded their strongest side of the season but were outgunned 6-2 by Crusaders despite a brace from Scott Englefield. Mark Chance (2), Darren Goouch (2), David Sanders and Paul Rispin scored for the winners.
Saturday Division 2 AGCC Worthy Down snatched a draw from the jaws of victory after leading Stanton Rovers 3-1 at half-time courtesy of a brace from the dangerous Dave Gough and an own goal. Worthy Down capitulated in the second half against ten men. Straight from the kick off and without a Worthy Down player touching the ball, Stanton reduced the arrears. Stanton scored the goal of the game before they took complete control.
Adam Gough had to make the save of the game to save Worthy Down the embarrassment of conceding the winner that Stanton probably deserved.
Upham Reserves won 3-2 at Twyford after going two up through Alex Baker and Karl Cassey. Tim Bennett seized on a through-ball to put Upham three up in the second half, but Twyford mounted a grandstand finish. They pulled two goals back, but Upham held out - just.
Sunday Premier Div In one of the few Sunday games to survive heavy overnight rain ten-man Micheldever Station put up a brave battle before losing 4-3 to Littleton cricket Club. Paul Anscombe, Rob Kitley and an own-goal were on the scoreboard for the cricketers, while Terry Knappett finished on the losing side despite bagging a hat-trick.
Sunday Division 2 Accutek Reserves never recovered from shipping four first-half goals against Winchester Trident Reserves, all of whose goals were scored by Rob Smith. Accutek improved after the break, but a single Mark Wilkinson goal was all they had to show for a host of chances.
