SOLENT basketball starlet Jodi Jerram will be packing her winter woollies over Christmas in preparation for new year's international action in Estonia.
After successful trials for England's junior women at Nottingham's Jesse Boot Arena, she has been selected to play in the Baltic Cup.
Jerram will be flying out on January 2 for the three-day tournament in the Estonian capital, Tallinn.
Finland, Sweden and Estonia will also be competing in what will be used by the English team as a warm-up event for August's Division B European competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Jerram's call-up is one of many successes this season for the Solent Stars development programme, set up Jimmie Guymon eight years ago.
Three other promising youngsters, Annaliese Flynn, Jessica Brookfield and Lianne Miller, will represent the south-east development region in a tournament in Sheffield on December 29.
The talented trio attended the school's regional tournament at the national centre at Lilleshall in October, where they were invited to join the development programme.
Sheffield and a second tournament in May are the last steps for the girls before the international stage beckons.
