Andover Golf Club's annual Turkey Bogey competition took place recently with players keen to enter to perhaps secure a voucher to enable them to purchase additional Christmas fayre.
It can be a difficult format with players trying to beat the course as a net birdie on the hole means a win, a net par a half and a net bogey, or greater, means a loss.
Last year's event was won with an excellent score of +4 and this was repeated at this year's event by Neil MacGowan (18) who joined the club during the year and who was the winner of the event by one hole.
