FORMER Andover FC manager Howard Goddard has left his position as coach at Alresford Town to take charge of ailing Wessex League Division Two club Whitchurch United.
The club were left without a chairman, vice chairman, manager, treasurer and secretary recently after a number of committe members and management left and acting secretary Derek Hack has been keeping them afloat in recent times.
Forty-seven year old Goddard, who had a wealth of experience with over 200 Football League appearances for six clubs scoring more than 70 goals, returns to management after a spell coaching.
