Sir.-The Memories article about pantomimes (Friday Gazette, December 10) was a reminder of another Christmas tradition, but one which is drifting into history - the giving of Christmas boxes.
Do postmen, wheelie-bin men or supermarket grocery deliverymen get a Christmas box? Unlikely. But shouldn't the custom be maintained for one group of regular providers of a service - the boys and girls who deliver The Gazette and the daily paper.
These hardworking and early-to-rise youngsters are the best of their generation, so remember them this Christmas. Harrow Way resident,
