PARISH council meeting: Last Monday's meeting was fairly eventful.
There was a forceful representation by Stroud Close residents.
They currently feel that they are receiving inadequate support in relation to their complaints about nearby construction activities.
They were given a sympathetic ear by all the councillors.
The parish council is to seek further advice and is considering the possibility of legal action on the topic.
A borough council officer also attended the meeting and presented proposals for "village gateway features" at Thornhill Way, Hanmore Road and the A33 link road.
The proposals were welcomed and it is hoped that, after some tweaking, final details can be agreed at the January council meeting.
MORE church events: This week will, of course, be a busy one for the church and will include a Crib Service on Friday, starting at 4.30pm. Midnight Communion will start at 11.15pm.
On Christmas Day, there will be a service from 10.30am.
CLOSING: Three Balloons Playgroup is sadly closing down.
