A FAMILY has lost more than £20,000 worth of furniture and antiques after a raid on their Warsash home.
Now detectives are appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into the house in Brook Lane while the occupants were out.
The stolen haul included four valuable relics. They were:
An antique long case clock, measuring approximately seven feet tall
A dark mahogany reproduction console table
An antique Dutch glass fronted barometer
A mahogany reproduction desk
DC Neil Cunningham of Fareham CID said: "Some of these items have been in the family for years and the owners are obviously very keen to get them back.
"These are very valuable, high quality items which have a limited market. I would appeal to all antique dealers to keep their eyes open for items matching the description of those stolen."
The burglars would have needed a van or lorry to remove the furniture.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, December 11 and saw anyone loading a van or anything else unusual or suspicious.
It is likely the offenders visited the area before to plan the burglary
