Detectives in Winchesterhave released e-fits of the two men involved in a distraction burglary.
As reported last week, the incident occurred at around 4pm on Tuesday, December 7th, at the home of an elderly lady in Spicer's Court, St Paul's Hill.
Two men pretending to be water board officials called at the address, told the 79-year-old victim there was a problem with the water and let themselves in.
After a while, they left, saying they were going to get tools, but did not return. The lady then realised £800 had been taken from a purse in the bedroom.
Both the men were wearing dark clothing, one spoke with an Irish accent the other is believed to have a Scottish one. A third man may have been involved in the incident but police only have the descriptions and e-fits for the two who spoke with the victim.
Detective Constable Charlie Hodgkinson said: "We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the e-fits or anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence and may have seen the men.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have been approached by these men in similar circumstances."
Witnesses, or anyone who can help, are urged to ring DC Hodgkinson at North Walls police station on 0845-0454545 or to call the anonymous Crimestoppers line, 0800 555111.
