BY day he is an ordinary man on the street -- but when night falls his dark side takes over.
Few would assume that Daily Echo vendor Paul Biggs has a secret. He rarely reveals it to his customers while he is hard at work selling newspapers in Above Bar Street. Inside is an alter ego, Eddy Chainsaw, just waiting to cut free. Come tonight he will be let loose on foes like Big Tim Burns and Wild Child Paul Willis.
Paul, 21, from Ordnance Road, Southampton, started training seriously three years ago and is developing a name for himself in competition circles as Eddy Chainsaw.
He said: "Eddy is very confused. He has been hit over the head one too many times and this has driven him slightly insane. He is the complete opposite of myself. He loves hitting people over the head with anything he can get his hands on and would love to take his chainsaw into the ring with him."
Eddy Chainsaw and some of the other stars of the Catch Wrestling Council will be at Chamberlain Leisure Centre, Weston Lane, Weston tonight from 7.30pm.
Tickets for the show are £5 and can be bought on the door.
