SOLENT Stars' junior men scored a thrilling last-minute victory over Bristol Bombers in their top of the table clash.
It was a last-gasp drive and clutch finger roll from Liam Openshaw that clinched an 80-78 win .
Stars began brightly with an opening score from their 6ft 10ins star centre Joel Freeland, but Bristol retaliated to take the quarter 23-20.
Back came Solent to lead 44-40 at half-time only for Bristol to overhaul them again 73-66.
It was Openshaw who pulled Solent around with a key three-pointer and free throw.
Openshaw then scored again to give Solent the lead and with Bristol needing to sink both free shots after a foul by Glasspool, they only hit one.
Openshaw's late basket kept Stars' championship hopes alive ahead of this weekend's revenge mission against Reading at Millbrook.
