A VILLAGE shop has been given a £3,000 boost by Hampshire County Council enabling it to buy much-needed chiller units and display shelving.
The executive member for economic development and Sto-ckbridge councillor Michael Woodhall presented the cheque to the Wallops Village Shop Association.
The association was formed to ensure that Over Wallop residents have continued access to a village shop and post office, at a time when many rural communities face the closure of such facilities.
The cash will go towards the cost of new fixtures and fittings for the shop on Pound Road.
