Haslemere 3 Andover 0
Andover's final league fixture before the Christmas break was a trip to unbeaten league leaders Haslemere, but despite a good performance they left with their third defeat in three games.
They were forced to make changes but Harfield looked assured in his first appearance and Peebles' tireless running troubled the Haslemere defence.
Both teams started strongly with much of the play in the midfield, but Andover found it hard going trying to get the ball to the forwards and Haslemere were able to increase the pressure.
However, the defence were well organised and didn't allow Haslemere any space to shoot.
With both teams performing well it took a short corner for someone to take the lead.
Haslemere managed to convert a retaken short corner and with their current form looked to extend that lead. Andover worried the home side as they almost got the equaliser soon after. Rob Jackson's quick free-hit found Downing whose pass fell to Hoo but he was denied by the toe of the stretching 'keeper.
As the game approached half time Haslemere struck again, another short corner extending their lead but still they looked anything but the team that sat comfortably at the top of the table.
