ANTTI NIEMI will be a January transfer window target for giants Arsenal and Manchester United, according to a tabloid report today.
The Finn signed a contract extension at St Mary's back in the summer and has always said he is happy at St Mary's.
But English football's top two teams could be preparing a £5m bid for the 32-year-old. Both have previously shown an interest in the player.
New boss Harry Redknapp has already said that selling Saints' best players would be "a recipe for disaster". With regards to James Beattie, Redknapp said: "He's under contract and if we don't want him to go, he doesn't go."
The same situation will surely apply to Niemi as well.
