WIMBORNE started strongly, and were awarded a free kick just outside the area in the first minute.
Gareth Barnes, who took the kick, struck a Totton post.
Stewart Kearn in the Wimborne goal then saved from Scott Bundy.
Wimborne continued to exert pressure on the home goal, but keeper Peter Houkes and his defenders stood firm.
James Sherrington fired in a hard shot for Totton which was well saved by Kearn, but Oldbury on the Dorset's side right flank caused problems with his well judged crosses.
From one of these, a Totton defender was adjudged to have handled, and despite home protests a penalty was awarded. But Barnes blasted the spot-kick way over the bar.
Totton began the second half in determined fashion and applied pressure on the Wimborne defence.
Good work by Matthew Monk set up Steve Whitcher, who beat Kearn with a low shot just inside the post to open the scoring for Totton after 55 minutes.
Mark Osman then appeared to be tackled from behind, but the referee turned down appeals for a penalty.
Wimborne still produced good approach work, but were guilty of wayward finishing.
Totton finished the stronger side, and manager Stuart Ritchie was pleased with another good performance by his team, who are now unbeaten in eleven matches.
