Southampton Sports Centre played host to a tense match recently when Winchester Mitie beat Central Park 37-21.
The home team were expected to be a tough proposition, but Winchester held strong and came out victorious.
There were many injuries sustained and both sides considered it the longest game they had ever played!
Central Park were quick to pick up on Mitie's centre passes but defenders Robynn Alner and Liz Vallance intercepted and disrupted the home team's possession. Centre Jo Williams also provided good defence in the centre court.
Ruth Ashton had yet another good game, despite being double marked for most of it, along with Jo Batey and Sarah Radburn, whose shots were faultless.
Mitie's hard work and postive attitude paid off and was a truly well deserved win.
