NOT only is this one of the most stunning festive homes in Southampton, but the owners have gone one step further.
The Purkiss family spent two weekends putting up a splendid display, which includes a projector beaming festive pictures onto their neighbour's home.
This week, 41-year-old brewery worker Ian Purkiss appeared in Meggeson Avenue, Townhill Park, dressed as Father Christmas to give out goody bags to youngsters.
Mum Maureen, 67, who lives with Ian, her other son Alan, 38, daughter Susan, 43, and granddaughter Rebecca, 14, said: "Ian goes out every year to give out presents and earlier in the month we even had a letter through the door addressed to Father Christmas!"
The family were nominated for the Daily Echo's Festive Homes competition, run in conjunction with West End home and garden centre, Haskins.
There is just one day left to enter the contest which has a prize of £300 Haskins vouchers, as well as two £50 runner-up prizes.
