DAILY Echo readers have helped to pack this van with Christmas goodies for needy children - but still more gifts are needed to put a smile on the face of thousands of youngsters in the city.
Scores of people have added a Southampton youngster to their shopping list for this year's Daily Echo-backed Toy Appeal.
Southampton Voluntary Services workers have spent three days wrapping, labelling and sorting thousands of donations from businesses, churches, schools and youth groups.
They aim to hand out presents to nearly 6,000 youngsters - from teens to tots - who they know about through social services, young carer projects or hospitals.
The silver jubilee anniversary of the toy appeal in Southampton looks like being the biggest yet, and there is still one week left for Daily Echo readers to hit the shops and spend £8 on a mystery child.
Presents such as board games, colouring pens, teddies or dressing-up clothes can be for children of any age from two to 16.
Simply drop off the donated goodies at the Daily Echo collection points to help make December 25 extra special this year.
