CITY OF Southampton Swimming Club's Chris Jones qualified for the British World and Commonwealth Championship trials in 2005 at the Southern Counties Winter event held at Crystal Palace.
Jones reached four finals at the championships as well as the men's medley skins event, in which he finished third.
He won both the 50m (30.59sec) and 100m (1.06.28) breaststroke events to take the White Cup and Leach Cup for the second year running.
Jones was also third in the 50m freestyle and 200m breaststroke.
Gail Strobridge, now swimming with City, showed her versatility by gaining second place in the women's medley skins. She also qualified for the Commonwealth Championship trials with a third place in the 200m freestyle.
Strobridge claimed the Cook Cup and Derbyshire Cup in the 200m and 400m individual medley.
She was also third in the 50m and 100m freestyle events.
Emma Macey, 15, was second in the Junior 100m butterfly and third in the open 100m butterfly.
The latter event also saw her gain a national qualifying time.
In the 200m butterfly, Emma was third in both the junior and open categories.
Nicolas Edwards, 15, gained four personal best times from six swims in the 100m butterfly, 100m freestyle, 400m freestyle and 400m individual medley.
Charlotte Slater, 14, recorded three personal best times in seven races.
She also achieved a long course national qualifying time in the 200m freestyle, the first race of the championships.
Her other pbs were in the 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.
Joanna Jeffcoate, 14, gained two pbs from her four races in the 200m backstroke event and the 200m individual medley.
