WHITCHURCH Primary School will no longer have to turn away prospective pupils - because the school has been given permission to build an extension, which will give it more than 80 additional spaces.
At the moment there are 340 pupils on the school roll. In the past children applying to the school have been turned away but this extension means the school could now cater for up to 420 pupils.
The school has been granted permission to build two reception classrooms, an Information computer technology suite and an external hard play area, costing £498,000.
