SHAKESPEARE is getting the speedy treatment at The Point in Eastleigh this week thanks to the Reduced Shakespeare Company.
The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) is a regular favourite, which continues to attract large audiences throughout the country.
What's more, it offers you the chance to see an entirely un-seasonal show - great news if you're in any danger of overdosing on Christmas already.
The show covers all 37 Shakespeare plays in 97 minutes with hilarious results. But students hoping to watch the show instead of reading the plays, beware.
These brief versions definitely deviate from the original texts, including a rap version of Othello, Titus Andronicus transformed into a cooking programme, Hamlet performed both forwards and backwards and the histories turned into an American football game.
And what's more, if covering all of Shakespeare's plays in just over an hour-and-a-half wasn't impressive enough, his entire works are brought to the stage by just three actors.
The Point, Eastleigh. Thursday, December 16 and Friday, December 17. Tickets: £14.50. Box office: 023 8065 2333.
