Bjorn Again - Southampton Guildhall
I CAN'T say I have ever seen an Abba tribute act belting out a truly rocking rendition of Born to be Wild before.
Nor am I ever likely to again.
But that's the reason Bjorn Again are head and shoulders above the rest of the wannabes.
They played a fantastic two-hour set to an energetic and appreciative crowd at the Guildhall last night.
All the old favourites were there and a few more besides - Take a Chance on Me, Mamma Mia, Voulez Vous, Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man after Midnight) and my personal top track Does Your Mother Know.
But instead of stopping at those, the exceptionally talented foursome that have become our modern-day Benny, Frida, Agnetha and Bjorn gave rock and rap a go as well.
It took us all of about 30 seconds of opening number Waterloo to start waving our arms in the air.
And we were slow starters compared to the rest of the crowd, many of them clad head to toe in glitter, platform boots and flares.
A stampede of hundreds of feet and screams of 'We want more,' were met with a terrific encore of Dancing Queen
followed by Thank You for the Music.
The quartet obviously love playing the Guildhall, where they always get a rapturous reception from Abba followers young and old.
But while Bjorn Again are this good, it doesn't matter how often they come back to Southampton - the crowds will keep on coming.
