LIGHT-UP: There was great excitement in the Square last Saturday, as two fire engines arrived and firemen climbed ladders into the churchyard trees.
There were many theories why, but the reality was that the fire brigade had kindly agreed to install the new Christmas lights, which the parish council has commissioned.
You will be able to see them on December 15, when the official lighting ceremony takes place.
GARDENING club: The December meeting is being held at the Fieldgate on Thursday, at 7.45pm.

CHRISTMAS concert: The Kingsclere Singers' annual concert is at the Methodist Church on Monday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
