The Rymill Property Developments FEMALE TEAM OF THE YEAR
Winners: Yngling Olympic Gold Medallists: Shirley Robertson (Isle of Wight), Sarah Webb (Surrey) and Sarah Ayton (Weymouth, Dorset)
Shirley Robertson is the only woman in team GB to win back to back golds, having won the Europe Class sailing in Sydney.

The DARES Ltd MALE TEAM OF THE YEAR
Winner: Poole Pirates
The first team for 40 years to win the speedway league and cup double in successive seasons.
Nominated: Berkshire CCC; Brighton Bears.
Tenon YACHTSPERSON OF THE YEAR
Winner: Ben Ainslie (Lymington)
Ben won gold in the Finn Class sailing in Athens. He also won the World Championship for the third time and is the only person to win in the Olympics and the World Championships in this class in the same year.

Seward Motor Group DISABLED SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR
Winner: Darren Kenny
The Bournemouth cyclist won two gold medals at the Athens Paralympics: he won the men's 1km open time trial and broke the world record in CP3 3km cycling individual pursuit.
Nominated: Simon Cookson (Portsmouth); Peter Norfolk (Farnborough)
Hunt Johnston Stokes DISABLED SPORTSWOMAN OF THE YEAR
Winner: Kathy Smith
The Oxfordfordshire girl was part of the archery team (along with Anita Chapman and Maggie Parker) who won gold at the Athens Paralympics.
Nominees: Judith Cooling (Bournemouth); Danielle Watts (Oxford)
Tenon CRICKETER OF THE YEAR
Winner: Dimi Mascarenhas (Hampshire)
The all-rounder topped the bowling averages as Hampshire returned to the top division of the County Championship. He was voted Player of theYear by his team mates and made his England debut in the Hong Kong Sixes in October.

Jewson Ltd NON-LEAGUE TEAM OF THE YEAR
Winner: Winchester City
Winchester won the FA Vase as well as the Wessex League and Cup double.

BBC South OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO LOCAL RADIO
Winner: Mike Smith (Southampton)
He has been reporting sport for BBC Radio Solent since the station began approximately 34 years ago. He retired earlier this year.
Friends Provident FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR
Winner: James Hayter (AFC Bournemouth)
James scored the fastest ever hat-trick in English football - 2 mins and 20 secs - against Wrexham last season and is the Cherries' leading scorer this season.
Nominees: Dave Kitson; Ayegbeni Yakubu
De Vere Grand Harbour YOUNG SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR
Winner: Nick Thompson, Sailor (Lymington)
Nick is the World Youth Sailing Champion in Laser Class.
Nominated: Ross Curnow; Pippa Wilson.
La Vista Restaurant MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Winner: Stephen Park (GB Olympic Manager - sailing)
The Titchfield-based Park managed the most successful sailing team at the Athens Olympics. Team GB won 5 medals.
Nominated: Terry Brown; Neil Middleditch.
Badger's Holt Care Home SPORTSWOMAN OF THE YEAR
Winner: Shirley Robertson, sailor (Isle of Wight)
Shirley was skipper of the Gold Medal winning Yngling Crew.
Nominated: Clare Connor; Pippa Funnell.
Jasper & Vincent SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR
Winner: Peter Norfolk (Farnborough)
Norfolk, the world number one, won gold to secure Britain's first ever paralympic tennis medal. He has also recently won his third US Open Wheelchair Tennis Championship title in four years.
Nominated: Ben Ainslie; Rob Hayles (Olympic gold medal cyclist).
BBC SOUTH SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2004
Winner: Neil Middleditch (Poole Pirates manager)
Neil was voted top personality by viewers and listeners to BBC South Today, Radios Solent, Oxford, Berkshire and Southern Counties Radio).
