RICHARD BLAND marked his return to the European Tour with a one under par finish in the Omega Hong Kong Open yesterday.
The Southampton man tied 36th in an event which saw Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez pip Ryder Cup teammate Padraig Harrington to the title.
The 40-year-old Spaniard's fifth victory of 2004 forced defending champion Harrington to settle for the 25th second place of his career.
Bland's best round was his second-round 66 which saw him beat the halfway cut following an opening 71. He followed up with rounds of 72 and 70.
