COULD this be the most festive home in Hampshire?
Draped with Santas, snowmen and seasonal sparkles, Christmas decorations at this house in Acorn Close, Winchester, have grown and grown over the past four year.
And the couple behind the glittering winter wonderland have been nominated by a neighbour for this year's Daily Echo and Haskins Festive Homes competition.
Ian and Linda Smith and their four boys spent about two days putting up the mammoth decorations around their three-bedroom house.
Now scores of city residents are travelling to the Weeke home to marvel at the December spectacle.
Linda, 40, who works as a school cleaner and dinner lady, said: "We've been doing it for about four years and it just gets bigger and better each year, as new decorations come out.
"We buy something extra each Christmas. There are lights in the trees, along the fences, a moving bell on the roof, parachuting Santas and microlights around all the windows.
"We just love doing it - we love Christmas. It's mainly for the boys, and everybody pitches in to help put the decorations up."
While husband Ian, 43, does up the outside with the help of sons Robert, 17, Ashley, 15, Nicholas, 13, and 11-year-old Peter, Linda also transforms the inside of their home into a cosy Christmas grotto.
Neighbour Lesley Holder, who nominated the house, added: "It's certainly the most outstanding house in the Winchester area and they always go to so much effort."
The Smiths could be in line to win £300 of Haskins vouchers to spend at the home and garden centre in West End. There are also two £50 vouchers up for grabs for the runners-up.
