A WINDOW display in Eastleigh is proving to be a real shopper-stopper.
Staff at Cry charity shop in the High Street have recreated a small Second World War air raid shelter.
Shop manager Gloria Ochyra said: "We are supporting the Churches Together 1940s Christmas event and it's really popular, with people stopping to look at the window and then coming in to ask about the items."
Historian and shop volunteer Stan Roberts supplied many of the exhibits.
"We've had such a great response that people have been bringing their own bits and pieces in to add to it," he said.
The midwife bag of Nurse Emery of Bishopstoke - on show complete with instruments used 60 years ago - is proving particularly fascinating.
Other items include a baby's gas mask, helmets, children's artwork and books.
The shop is currently looking for more volunteers.
