A GROUP of art enthusiasts has joined forces to help fund a cancer support and information centre at Southampton General Hospital.
The friends from the Winchester area got together in the summer and are now gearing up for their first arts and crafts exhibition in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief's South Hampshire Appeal.
Calling themselves the Arty Farty Group, they will donate ten per cent of all sales at the exhibition to the Daily Echo-backed appeal.
Original products on sale will include handmade cards, watercolours, prints, bespoke reclaimed wood furniture and scarves.
Ema Branton, one of the group's founders, said: "After meeting a few times, and discussing our aims, it soon became obvious that Macmillan Cancer Relief was the charity we all wanted to raise money for."
The exhibition takes place at Twyford Parish Hall on Sunday, December 12.
