VILLAGE hall: The AGM was held on November 17, and was well attended.
Matters arising out of last year's minutes were raised and it was noted that bookings had increased, but so have running costs.
Fundraising has been successful, ongoing projects discussed, and Jan and Alan were thanked for their efforts during the year.
The treasurer presented a review of the year and one or two queries were raised from the floor regarding finance.
The officers were elected, the public address system discussed, the question of salt bins will be looked at and the Christmas celebration on December 20 was also mentioned.
KEN'S raffle: Is now open for 2004. All proceeds will go to St Michael's Hospice, so buy your tickets before they are sold out!
There are great prizes to be won. Do you realise this raffle has been going for more than 15 years? Go and give Ken all your support.
EVERGREENS: Two tickets have not been claimed from the autumn fair draw. These are green tickets number 29 (meal for two at the White Hart) and 169 (meal for two at the Wellington). Please call 882619 before Tuesday.
CHRISTMAS celebration: There will be a run-through for the village celebration of Christmas next Friday, December 3, at the village hall.
Brian Archer will be at the hall from 5.30pm for those who are interested in performing and who need musical accompaniment.
Anyone who wants to take part is welcome to attend.
