ST MARK'S Christmas fair: A quick reminder that the Friends of St Mark's Primary School will be holding a Christmas fair next Tuesday, from 3.30pm to 6pm, at the school.
The fair will include stalls selling plenty of festive goodies such as Chocoholics, cakes, Hair Magic, Usbourne books and Phoenix cards.
PHONE mast news: Simon Preedy reports that he has contacted phone operator Orange regarding its proposed mast for Woodbury Road, near the chicane.
An application for the mast was expected to be submitted to the borough council last week, but Simon has urged Orange to consider recent health guidelines on phone masts.
These recommend that the so-called "beam of greatest RF intensity" from the mast should not fall within school grounds unless agreed to by the school and parents.
As the mast will be fairly close to St Mark's playing fields, he is asking Orange to undertake to commit to this recommendation.
WI: Hatch Warren WI meet next Thursday, for its pre-Christmas meeting. The evening will include a visit from Viables-based florist The Butterfly Tree, which will be providing plenty of ideas for Christmas creativity.
The meeting starts at 8pm, at the community centre, and all are welcome.
GIVING blood: The next visit of the blood donor service to Hatch Warren will be on Wednesday, December 22, at the community centre.
