WHAT a wonderful effort: Despite the quite dreadful weather recently, of driving snow and rain, that produced apparently ideal tree-planting conditions, Cliddesden Community Conservation Group and an army of volunteers planted approximately 1,600 trees by the M3 bridge.
This is a project designed to reduce traffic noise.
The volunteers comprised the young, old and the middle-aged, with all making a marvellous contribution.
The whole project demonstrates very clearly what can be done when people have a vision and a will to realise that vision - many congratulations to all those involved.
TRAIDCRAFT sale: Tomorrow, St Leonard's Church is holding a Traidcraft sale, from 10am to noon, where gifts, foods and wrapping paper will all be on sale.
All profits will support Traidcraft in its work for fair trade for developing countries.
