CHRISTMAS whist drive: Eileen Monger and her daughter, Sharon, will be holding a whist drive on Monday, at 7.30pm.

It is at the Memorial Hall, on The Green, Tadley, in aid of the British Polio Fellowship.

Admission is £2, and I am assured there are good prizes and a raffle. Please support this worthy cause.

SARAH-JANE's new nursery school: Will be opening in January, at Heath End Hall.

Starting on January 10, it will initially be open for four mornings a week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - for children aged from two to five years old.

Contact Jane on 07810 750411 if you require further details.

CARERS Together: Has been working with Basingstoke Alzheimer's Society to set up support groups for carers in the Tadley, Baughurst and Kingsclere areas.

The next meeting, on Thursday, will be the Christmas lunch at the Star pub in Kingsclere, meeting at noon.

Any carers who would like to go should contact Jane on 01256 353290, or Maggie on 01256 357150. It may be possible to provide transport.

CANCELLED: The production of Figgy Pudding at Heath End Hall, which I mentioned in last Friday's paper, will not now take place.

Unfortunately, it has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
