Detectives are hunting a sex attacker after an indecent assault on a woman in Winchester. Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, the 21-year-old victim was walking home along Romsey Road after seeing friends.
Near the Westgate, a man started talking to her. As they walked further up the road, he grabbed her, pulled her into St James' Terrace and indecently assaulted her. Two men walked past during the assault and the man fled. Police also believe a couple may also have passed during the attack.
The shocked victim was unable to tell police in which direction her attacker fled, but gave a description. He is described as white, mid- to late-40s, of medium build with dark brown straight hair with centre parting. He wore a black suit and is believed to have spoken with a northern accent.
DC Paul Jeans said: "We'd like to hear from anyone in the area at the time. We have yet to trace the two men and couple believed to have passed by during the assault."
