A TALENTED young actress is set to appear in a dream role in her favourite TV programme.

Millions of viewers will tonight watch Rosie de Wolf, 13, in BBC1's hospital drama Casualty.

Twin Rosie, of Wilton Road, Shirley, Southampton, will be playing ten-year-old schoolgirl Anna in the popular show, which is due to be screened at 8.40pm.

Rosie, a pupil at Wildern School in Hedge End, spent three weeks of her summer holidays filming the scenes in Bristol.

The teenager appeared in the show 18 months ago but this is the first time she will have a speaking part.

She said: "Casualty is my favourite programme and filming it was really good fun. I like all the actors and getting to know people. Ian Bluesdale, who plays Josh, was probably the funniest person I worked with. He kept making everybody laugh all the time."

She added: "I'm going to watch the programme at home with my family. I'm a bit nervous about what my friends will think because I'm playing a ten-year-old and they might think I'm really immature.

"I love acting because I can play lots of different characters who are really different to me.

"I hope I can be an actress all the time when I'm older. My favourite role would be doing a car chase in a Hollywood film."

Rosie started her career at the tender age of six with her twin, Megan, who is often cast in the same role, in Lynda La Plante's Trial and Retribution.

The pair have since enjoyed working with former Spice Girl Emma Bunton and actress Martine McCutcheon during an appearance on The Priory with Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston. They starred alongside Amanda Burton in Silent Witness, and were even short-listed to play Hermione in Harry Potter.
