A HAMPSHIRE riding charity for disabled people has been given a big boost thanks to a new wheelchair ramp.
The Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre in Eastleigh needed the new £2,000 ramp to help disabled riders on to their horses.
More than 100 disabled visitors use the centre every week for horse-riding lessons. The ramp was designed by the centre to give the best access for the riders and carers at the centre. Fundraising organiser and centre trainee Vicky Homden said: "It makes it so much easier to help people on to their horses." Fundraising, including a donation of £500 from the Roke Manor Research summer garden party, helped achieve the cash needed for the ramp.
